I took the CNA course through here. The classes were ok, fairly easy to pass, the videos were 40 hours that had to be completed before going in for hands in learning. 40 hours of clinical hours were in Prosser and that was the longest 40 hours of work, ever. If you're already working in a healthcare setting you cannot count your work hours as clinical hours.
Post classes and completing the courses no one really tells you what's next. You go through a separate website and company to schedule your oral and hands on test and to register for your license you need a certificate of completion, which you have to go pick up from Columbia Safety.
Overall wish there was more communication of what all you need to finish and be licensed. Granted there was a lot of change of employment while I was in class and finishing up, but that should have still be covered.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - T M.Richland, WA01Mar 24, 2022First to Review
Took the HCA-CNA bridge course here in January. It was a weekend, 3-day course. Myself and the other classmates were guaranteed we would be able to schedule a state test within the week. Well I called on Monday and was informed they were switching programs and it would take till end of January. Okay no big deal. By mid February I was growing impatient. The woman who answered the phone when I asked how to navigate the new website for getting a test date said " she had no clue" as to how things work. After waiting 2.5 months with zero help from them. Even though they claimed to "advocate" for students I finally got a test date. Took complaining and calling everyday and finally getting the state involved for us students to get it straightened out. Waste of time and a lot of money. Could've taken it in Spokane and gotten a test date sooner. I recommend going elsewhere for any sort of class.
