  • Exciting day at Tidewater's Snake River Terminal in Pasco, Washington last Friday! We were honored to welcome esteemed guests: Dr. Basil Gooden, Under Secretary of Rural Development at USDA, Helen Price Johnson, Washington State Director of USDA Rural Development, Margi Hoffman, Oregon State Director of USDA Rural Development, and Will McIntee, Senior Advisor for Public Engagement at the White House. Their visit was a fantastic opportunity to showcase our Clean Energy Transition Project, made possible in part by the USDA's Higher Blends Infrastructure Incentive Program grant. The Project is on track to be completed and ready to serve the region by the end of summer. Tidewater is incredibly grateful for our visitor's invaluable time and support as we continue our journey towards providing cleaner energy solutions to Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. An unplanned highlight occurred when two Tidewater Environmental Services trucks rolled by, servicing the terminal with roll-on/roll-off containers. Perfect timing, TES! 💚 #CleanEnergy #USDA

  • Exploring the marvels of McNary Dam with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers! Yesterday, I had the privilege of joining a tour where we got an exclusive look at the Dam's powerhouse, with 14 hydropower turbines, and the dewatered navigation lock lift, measuring in at 86 feet wide, 683 feet long (over two football fields in length!), with a 75 foot vertical lift. It was incredible to meet the dedicated engineers and project managers who are making it all happen. Your expertise and dedication to maintaining vital infrastructure like McNary Dam are crucial elements in shaping a resilient and prosperous future for our region and the United States. A big thank you to the Corps for giving us this inside peek! To learn more about McNary Dam and others in the USACE's Walla Walla District visit: https://lnkd.in/gZ5jurrG
