We enjoyed working on this project with everyone at Kiewit. This project was managed incredibly well and the results speak for themselves! We think most Missoulians will likely opt to take the scenic route to Glacier National Park this summer and most certainly pick up some Flathead cherries later in the year! Go team!! 🏔️ 🍒

The Salmon Lake Project, a full roadway reconstruction in Seeley Lake, Montana, is expected to wrap up construction this fall. Over the last four years, Kiewit has been reconstructing nearly four miles of Montana Highway 83 along the east side of Salmon Lake to upgrade the existing roadway and add better bike accessibility. Enhanced safety improvements include better visibility, widened roads with paved shoulders, a new guardrail and improved existing cut slopes to reduce rockfall hazards. Highway 83 is one of the main north/south connector highways in the region that leads summer travelers to all the lakes, hiking and off road trails in the area and leads vacationers right to Glacier National Park. This summer, we’ll install new retaining walls and culverts, finish asphalt paving, complete roadway striping, install signage and start project cleanup. As the construction manager/general contractor for the project, we worked with the Montana Department of Transportation to keep the road open for the traveling public during construction.

After a little wait and A LOT of work LOGE Missoula is open to our first groups of explorers this weekend! While there's still a bit of work to finish before the hotel and café are 100% and fully rockin', we're looking forward to our first summer in Missoula and being part of that incredible outdoor community. Kudos to our design & development teams, and thank you to our local construction partners and friends at Vida Design Inc. in this renovation. And to all the groups and people that have helped us transform this long-abandoned hotel into the completely awesome and spanking new basecamp for adventurers. Check out these before/after photos - with more to share soon of rooms, common spaces, outdoor kitchens and more. Put Missoula on your travel map and we'll look forward to having you around our campfire. Next up : LOGE Glacier National Park in Essex, MT - opening mid-summer. #liveoutsidegoexplore #missoula

Do any of you in Missoula remember that sudden, near white-out snowstorm that occurred in the middle of April? ALLWEST representatives Cole Warrick and Kyle Adams remember... the squall swiftly stopped the annual Missoula Plans Exchange and Missoula Construction Council's Scholarship Golf Tournament as hosted by the Missoula Country Club. On Wednesday last week, our Missoula team members attended golf tournament round two. Although no snow fell during the second iteration, cool temperatures and intermittent showers persisted throughout most of the morning (we think Kyle may have overprepared...) Many marshmallows were chipped, but only two victors emerged. DCI Engineers and Boyce Lumber... well done! Firstly, congratulations to the top-three golf teams: 1.) First Interstate 2.) Jackson Contractor Group, Inc. 3.) Champion Concrete Pumping Secondly, thank you to all of our partners in sponsorship. The proceeds from this event and other donations have provided more than $300 thousand in post-secondary education scholarships to Montanans since 2009. Sponsorship partners: Ash Grove Cement Company, Builders FirstSource, Boyce Lumber, Champion Concrete Pumping, Inc., Cogswell Insurance Agency LLC, Comfort Systems USA, Communication Resources, LLC, Core & Main, Dick Anderson Construction, D.P. Nicoli Inc., Dakota Supply Group, Edge Construction Supply, Inc., The Euclid Chemical Company, 4G Plumbing and Heating, Inc., Garden City Plumbing & Heating, Inc., J&M Electric, Inc., Jackson Contractor Group, Inc., Kinter Electric, L&C Customs, LLC, Langlas and Associates, Macon Supply, Montana Fire Sprinklers, LLC, Pierce Flooring and Design, Seamless Promotions, LLC, Stockman Bank of Montana, Swank Enterprises, Time Rental, 3 Rivers Landworks, and Vemco, Inc. We will see you all next year!

Just weeks ago, a few ALLWEST team members (Taryn Perry (Erickson), Scott Fraser, and Isaac Rede) attended the Geoprofessional Business Association's 2024 Annual Conference in Anaheim, CA. The theme of this year's gathering, "Champion Excellence", emphasized the importance of maintaining curiosity in the workplace and our every day lives, industry trends, emerging technologies, and various leadership topics. Additionally, as recognition for our recent, companywide efforts working with the GBA to conduct a Peer Review at the end of 2023, ALLWEST received an award during the conference. Please follow the link below for more information on GBA's Peer Review process: https://lnkd.in/g76BScha Providing an exceptional resource to network with geoprofessionals all over the US and informative, thought-provoking presentations and group discussions; we are looking forward to the next annual GBA Conference in '25. We hope to see you there! -Continuous Improvement with GBA's Peer Review-

We invest a tremendous amount of time into training our team members, as ultimately, their technical expertise in the field and laboratory equates to our shared success as an employee-owned company. Shout out to Hayden / Meridian Area Managers, Isaac Rede and Adrian Mascorro, for their consistent commitment to advancing the careers, creating opportunities for, and bolstering the success of the ALLWEST team!

Last week, ALLWEST team members from our Spokane and Lewiston offices attended the Greater Spokane Incorporated Peer-Networking event as hosted by Arbor Crest Wine Cellars. The views of Spokane were beautiful, and the conversations shared were valuable. It is always great to gather with some of the movers-and-shakers in our community! Many-a-"thank you" to nonprofit spotlight sponsor WA529 - Washington Education Savings Plans. They are doing amazing things for families in Washington in support of financial literacy and saving for college. The nonprofit highlight of the evening, Alzheimer's Association, Washington State Chapter also deserves a thank you from all of us, especially during National Volunteer Week. And finally, a round of applause are in order for supporting sponsor Idaho Central Credit Union. They helped make all of the positive interactions and thoughtful communications possible. We look forward to seeing you all at the next one!
